This is my little corner on the internet. It’s where I archive my design work, catalog my thoughts and make connections.
Like me, it’s a work in progress, so come back soon for the revamp, for now feel free to get in touch.
The Authorized Test Labs are all about affording tools to it’s partners about operator requirements, testing and technology support to narrow the time-to-market gap. I helped to create a clearly informative campaign that could also draw from nostalgic notions of life in a laboratory with a bit of sci-fi thrown in.
This project currently in development is one I’m thrilled to be a part of. It combines some of my favorite things, music, design, and vinyl records. Isn’t that what makes vinyl so great? Mix in digital technology and you’ve got a winner in my book. Kinyl aims to bridge the gap between analog and digital music experiences by creating platforms for people to collect, share and enjoy their music, their way. More to come soon. Stay tuned.
Mission statements, methodologies and marketing strategies. These types of things tend to be stuffy and boring. I was tasked with livening up this agency’s business collateral to tell their story in a more vibrant and approachable style. Bold colors, big typography and tongue-in-cheek illustrations come together to playfully communicate and stand apart in a crowded sector.
You don’t get to be an innovator in technology without some futuristic vision and forward thinking. To celebrate Toshiba’s 25th anniversary of their trademark NAND flash technology, I got to work on their campaign microsite. To capture this motif, I was able to build around the notion of traveling beyond the here and now, into the future, and connecting it back to their technological history.
This project is the brainchild of a good friend of mine. Still in alpha mode, I’ve come alongside him as the designer cofounder to help bring his ideas to life. Community is part brewery, part social gathering place and part think thank. Here you can come for the beer and stay for the dialogue. We hope to become a brand that celebrates the craftsmanship of good beer as much as the act of enjoying it with others.
Come in, we’re open. That’s the spirit behind this endeavor, it is an attempt to catalog, unite and empower the fine folks who work for the Internet. In San Diego. I got to work on the online database which serves to resource the local community, and on their quarterly publication which aims to encourage thoughtful dialogue offline to promote better thinking and making, online.
“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. If none of my earthly pleasures satisfy it, that does not prove that the universe is a fraud. Probably earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing.” – C.S. Lewis
The dictionary defines Miscellany as “a group or collection of different items; a mixture.” Nothing much more than that to be sure but amid the assortment are some rare treasures in my opinion. Some are logos, some icons, some are random and some are beginnings of big ideas waiting to be born. All are mine.
